Nestled in the heart of Adelaide, The Little Sardine is a charming and cosy heritage workers’ cottage (circa 1880) converted into a boutique city retreat. Just a 5-minute walk from Gouger Street and the Adelaide Central Market, our little hideaway gives you full access to everything Adelaide has to offer — from café culture and restaurants to arts, festivals, and day-trip escapes.

A bit of history & character
Originally built in 1880 as a workers’ cottage, The Little Sardine retains much of its heritage charm — high ceilings, cosy proportions, and a sense of history. Over time, we gently modernised the interior to provide comfort: quality linen, air conditioning, NBN WiFi, TV streaming, and a fully equipped kitchen.
We believe in combining modern convenience with local character. You’ll find small local touches, warm lighting, and a comfortable place to rest your feet after a day of exploring Adelaide.
